Note that the first vowel in the name of the color is the vowel phoneme that is color-coded. Also note that in the Workbooks the students supply the color by using color pencils.

NOTES: There are two slightly different phonemes represented by the single grapheme "th" but for the purpose of teaching reading and spelling these tiny differences can be safely ignored.
