The above page from the Grapheme Book (here reduced in size) illustrates the vowel grapheme color-codes for Copper /o/, Pink /i/, and Azure /a/, the purpose of which is to regularize the orthography of the vowels in English. Note that the first vowel in the name of the color is the vowel phoneme that is color-coded. Also note that in the Workbooks the students supply the color by using color pencils.

NOTES: There are two slightly different phonemes represented by the single grapheme "th" but for the purpose of teaching reading and spelling these tiny differences can be safely ignored.
